The challenge for week 25 is to Embrace What Is Presented To You.
Today we went to Houghton Lodge Gardens, near Romsey, in Hampshire (UK). Here in the south of England we have had hot dry weather for several weeks. The sun was high and the light very harsh, so as well as photographing the gardens, I had an eye out for this challenge. My eye became caught by the faded and dead blooms. I read this week about the Japanese idea of ‘wabi sabi’ – seeing beauty in decay and imperfection. So here is my own effort at wabi sabi.
