feeding Nebby

When I put these feeders out in the garden, I hardly thought that I would be feeding our local wood pigeon, but Nebby found that I had positioned it so that he had a perch. (Nebby is our family name for wood pigeons: Jessica called one Nebuchadnezzar a few years ago, and we don’t know whether this bird is Nebby himself or one of his friends and relations!)

Richard took this photograph. It was his entry for the under 16’s photography category in the Swanmore village show today (Richard is 11). The photograph had to be on the subject “animal magic”. Richard’s proud father is delighted to announce that Richard won first prize.
