Earlier this week – looking up at the cherry tree in our front garden with the street lamp above and behind.
star trails – with 3 meteors
My first ever attempt at star trails.
Image taken using the ‘live composite’ feature on my Olympus EM1 with 25 mm lens (50mm equivalent). just over 30 minutes of 5 second exposures f1.8 ISO 1600. Post processing with Luminar 4 to make the colours pop a little.
My aim – if the sky is clear on Friday – is to capture one of these with the ISS crossing the sky. Here you can see a meteor; unfortunately I was not looking up at that time.
The first full moon of the year is called the Wolf Moon – on cold winter nights wolves and coyotes could be heard howling at it.
Portsmouth at night
The Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior. Taken with my mobile phone 20/12/2019.
