One of yesterday’s photographs, reprocessed in black and white.
This spot amongst the tall beech trees is one of my very favourite places in the Forest of Bere. It reminds me of being inside a cathedral.

Another experiment in black and white. After converting to b&w, I heightened the yellow and green tones to bring out the fresh green leaves, which always look like jewels in Spring. I then overlaid a texture – a grainy image of a roughly whitewashed wall, opacity reduced to 20%.

Another photograph taken with the Olympus OM2 film camera. This part of the woods reminds me of a cathedral – the tall trees mean the canopy is high above, the spaces between them, and the way the light can filter through as it does through stained glass windows.
