I took this photograph as I was getting ready to photograph the firework display last week.
A few photographs from last night’s firework display in Swanmore.
Inspired by an excellent talk given by Ian McGowan to Bishop’s Waltham Photographic Socoety, I took an old compact camera with me to Winchester and took several photographs looking down onto the streets and pavements. Back at home, I created this collage of 16 images.

This photograph, which I have titled ‘Going Underground’ was awarded first place in the Intermediate section in the August round of Bishop’s Waltham Photographic Society’s 2022 League. The set subject was Motion.
I am very pleased – my previous best was third place.
